What should I do before my wax?
To bloom beautifully, prep your petals:
- Exfoliate gently 24–48 hours prior (a soft mitt or scrub is perfect—nothing harsh). Keep skin moisturized, but arrive with clean, product-free skin.
- Hair length matters—let it grow to at least a grain of rice (about 2–3 weeks of growth).
- Avoid sun exposure or tanning beds 48 hours before waxing.
- Skip the gym and saunas beforehand—heat can make your skin more sensitive.
Can I wax during my period?
Absolutely! You’re welcome any time—just wear a fresh tampon or cup. That said, you may feel more sensitive around your cycle.
Should I take a pain reliever?
Absolutely! You’re welcome any time—just wear a fresh tampon or cup. That said, you may feel more sensitive around your cycle.
Can I come straight from work/gym?
We recommend arriving fresh—but if you’re coming in hot, we’ve got you. Our freshen-up stations are stocked and ready.
What should I avoid after waxing?
Your skin will be more vulnerable post-wax. For the first 24–48 hours, avoid:
- Sweating heavily (workouts, hot yoga, etc.)
- Soaking in tubs, pools, or hot showers
- Tight clothing or friction-heavy fabrics
- Touching or scratching the area
- Tanning, chemical peels, or active skincare in the area.
How do I prevent ingrowns?
Hydration is key. Use a gentle exfoliant 2–3x a week and follow with a post-wax oil or serum—we retail some of our favorites in-studio. Ask your Florette what’s best for your skin type.
Can I shave between waxes?
We get it—but no. Shaving disrupts the hair growth cycle and makes your next wax more uncomfortable. Let it grow, and we’ll handle the rest.
How often should I get waxed?
Most clients rebook every 4 weeks for best results. We offer discounted pricing for consistent visits—your skin (and wallet) will thank you.
